French Country "Family Dinner" at Delancey
We're long overdue for a Delancey "family dinner," an intimate evening of good food, good drink, and good company in our little dining room in Ballard. Please join us on August 31 as we channel the spirit of rustic French cooking to celebrate the produce of late summer.
WHAT: A multi-course, family-style, prix-fixe dinner with matching wines. The menu is subject to change according to what looks best at the market, but here's the plan.
When you arrive: Baked olives with orange and bay Roasted pepper crostini with goat cheese and fried capers
Dinner: Chilled carrot soup with fresh herbs and flowers
Warm summer leeks with lardons and egg
Roasted leg of lamb with strong mustard and housemade aioli, Green beans and radishes with housemade butter and sea salt Crisp potatoes
Wood oven-roasted peaches with housemade fennel ice cream
WHY: Because it's fun! It's a dinner-party-in-a-restaurant! And because we like to cook all kinds of food, even though we're usually just slinging pizzas.
WHEN: Tuesday, August 31, at 6:00 pm
WHERE: 1415 NW 70th Street, Seattle
COST: $70 per person, including tax, gratuity, and matching wines.
