Studio B Presents: THE STORY SLAM
Call yourself a writer?
It's time to bring your most fabulous 5-minute story to the Story Slam stomping ground!
Here's how it works: you polish that story, read it in front of your cat, work out the kinks. Then, you show up at the SLAM, put your name in the hat, and have a seat (and a beer).
We'll draw names out of a hat ... one writer at a time. If you hear your name, you hop up, adjust the mic, and let it rip. If you pass the 5-minute mark, you will be severely chastised by a bored audience and an aggressive keyboard player.
Sit back down. Look around nervously. Deep breath.
After 10 writers, we put it in the hands of 3 masterful literary agents. They'll agonize over who was best. You'll have another beer.
At last, a winner will be named! If it's you, you're a superhero. If it's not, you're a worthy sidekick.
And if you just want to listen, by all means do.
