Event
2010 "Buy Fresh Bike Local" for South Central Pennsylvania
Capital Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Area Council, in partnership with South Central PA Buy Fresh Buy Local and the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau, will host the 3rd Annual Buy Fresh Buy Local event on Saturday, August 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The three planned bike routes will meander through the rolling hills and farmland of Cumberland County. There are two 25-mile routes for riders 16 and older, and one less challenging 10-mile family route (may not be appropriate for inexperienced riders under 16 years of age).
All routes begin and end at South Middleton Park in Boiling Springs, PA.
Participants will find a picnic meal waiting for them at nearby Dickinson College Farm, with dished prepared by local chefs, caterers and farmers. Afterward, visit with vendors and local artisans or get a relaxing massage.
Tickets for riders and non-riding participants are $25.00 per person and include the picnic lunch, but don't wait - pre-registration is required by July 31!
There is a $5.00 "Early Bird" discount if your registration is received by July 21.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the South Central PA Chapter of Buy Fresh Buy Local.
This event is rain or shine. We hope to see you there!
