Detroit SOUP is a microgranting dinner that celebrates creative projects in the city and has helped Detroiters giving back to Detroiters with over $80,000 towards art, social justice, social entrepreneurs, education, technology and urban agriculture. We've been honored as a White House Champion of Change for their crowdfunding efforts and have been recognized by a wide variety of publications from features on the front pages of the Sunday Detroit Free Press and Detroit News, to mentions in the likes of O Magazine, New York Times, NPR, Fast Company, BBC, Dwell Magazine, and NBC Nightly News. We do work both collectively in the city and in nine neighborhoods in Detroit: Brightmoor, Grandmont Rosedale, Livernois Corridor, Hamtramck, Highland Park, Central Communities, North End, Downtown, and East Jefferson.
