This screening of videos by artists living and/or practicing in New York speaks to the multi-faceted nature of how sound and image work in tandem today. The music in this program results from sources such as concrete sound, spoken word, and musical instruments. Playing off the traditional "music video," which reached prominence in the 1980s, these artists approach combining music and visuals through abstraction, animation, and scientific investigation. Q&A panel to follow.
