Brooklyn Laundry's Dinners for Antonin Careme
We are preparing an evening of dinners in honor of Antonin Careme, as presented in Ian Kelly's biography, "Antonin Careme: Cooking for Kings". Careme (1784-1833) was known as "The King of Chefs and the Chef of Kings" is widely credited as being the first internationally renowned celebrity chef. He played a great role in popularizing Haute Cuisine, and worked as the private chef for Napoleon and the Royal family of France, among others.
In celebration of Careme, we will be serving two six course tasting menus. There will be two seatings; at 5:30 & 9:30. The event will be at 12 turn 13, in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
