Two Teams, Three Lambdas, Four Wheels: HVHRD Presents Revenge of the
Nerds on Skates!
HYDE PARK, NY "The Hudson Valley Horrors (HVHRD), the world's first
non-urban flat track roller derby team are dusting off their pocket
protectors for their first home bout of the 2010 season, Revenge of
the Nerds on Skates! The good and nerdy fun will take place on
Saturday, May 22 at Hyde Park Roller Magic, 4178 Albany Post Road,
Hyde Park, NY.
HVHRD welcomes Long Island Roller Rebels for the nerderific battle in
which two teams will exercise their use of physics, both demonstrating
that momentum is, in fact, equal to mass times acceleration, and that
velocity will always equal displacement over time. Bring your number 2
pencils and study hard" doors open at 6 and the number
crunching... rather, bone crunching starts at 7! Calculators are
optional.
Students wishing to study along derby style can purchase advance
tickets for $10, or $15 at the door. VIP seats are a mere $20, which
includes a rink side chair and Horror goody bag.
Photographers will receive discounted rate of $7 with a signed photo
release.
