Brownstone Brooklyn Garden District: Clinton Hill Sunday Garden Walk
Spend a Sunday afternoon being inspired by a variety of urban gardens. Brownstone Brooklyn Garden District presents its self-guided 11th annual garden walk. This year's stroll features 15 private gardens in the historic district of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The stops on the tour include single, double & triple-lot urban refuges. Pick-up a self-guided map on the corner of Washington & Lafayette, just outside the entrance to the G train, and take the opportunity to enter into private neighborhood gardens. In addition to private gardens, many of which have art created by the gardeners folded into the greenery, the tour also includes community gardens, a garden of "symbols, Parables & Healing" recently planted by the Brownstone Brooklyn Garden District at Teen Challenge, and "green graffiti" art installations. All proceeds from the walk go into activities that encourage and facilitate public urban gardening.
