Developing Local Food Systems. Speaker Carole Morison
Carole Morison, the chicken farmer and whistle-blower in the Academy Award nominated documentary Food, Inc. will headline Slow Food Solanos program Developing Local Farm Systems on Saturday, April 24 at the Winters Community Center from 4 - 6:30.  As part of her presentation Morison will share the insights she gained  and lessons learned as a contract poultry farmer coerced to implement unsustainable and inhumane practices.  Those insights and lessons are valuable to food producers who are working to improve local food systems.  

After the program and discussion, attendees will be treated to local wine and food tasting.
