2010 NYC Global Youth Media and Arts Festival VIP Reception
World Savvy invites you to celebrate the talent and vision of New York City's youth artists at its 3rd annual Global Youth Media and Arts Festival! The Global Youth Media and Arts Program (MAP) is an arts education program for middle and high school students and teachers in New York. The current program theme is Immigration and Identity. The Festival is the culminating art exhibition of the MAP, bringing more than 1,000 NYC youth in this program together to share their perspectives on critical issues surrounding Immigration and Identity with the entire NYC community.
At the Opening Celebration of the Festival on May 21st at the NYU Commons Gallery, youth bring to life their perspectives on the theme through live performances, visual art, and multi-media projects. The VIP Reception from 5:00 to 6:30 pm prior to the Opening offers a chance for community members to take a private, guided tour of the exhibition, and interact with youth artists.
Host Committee support for the Festival is also available. By becoming a Global Sponsor ($1,000), Community Ambassador ($500), or Neighborhood Advocate ($250), you will support this unique and innovative global education program, as well as enjoy the following benefits:
