The rags to riches story of Sophie Tucker, an iconic superstar who ruled the worlds of vaudeville, Broadway, radio, television, and Hollywood through much of the 20th century. Before Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, and Bette Midler, Sophie Tucker was the first Jewish woman performer to infatuate audiences with a bold, bawdy, and brassy style unlike any other. Using all of her 400-plus recently rediscovered personal scrapbooks, the film retraces a sixty-year career in show business.

Night Will Fall
Thursday January 15, 2015 | 7:00 PM Cinemark Theatres, South Point Hotel and Casino United Kingdom 2014 | English | 75 minutes Rabbi Akselrad, Rabbi Tecktiel, Ben Lesser, Survivor and Esther Finder and Gene Greenberg, 2nd Generation Survivors will moderate
This new film about a forgotten, long-shelved documentary chronicling the Allies' discovery and liberation of the Nazi concentration camps is a restored contemporaneous account of that seminal moment in history. Edited by Alfred Hitchcock, the film is inevitably harrowing, and at times challenging to watch. By revealing a hitherto unknown aspect of the Holocaust, it serves as a powerful and significant addition to Holocaust testimony and education. Not recommended for the sensitive or young.

THE MAD ADVENTURES OF RABBI JACOB is very funny and powerfully poignant. Victor Pivert is a very tolerant man, provided you are white, Catholic, and French. To everyone else, he is a shameless racist, who believes foreigners should go back where they came from. On his way to his daughter's wedding, Victor uncovers a group of scheming Arab revolutionaries. After Victor is discovered, he hides himself by dressing up as a rabbi, leading to one madcap scene after another.
