Jason Robert Brown in Concert with Roustabout
Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown returns to perform with Roustabout Theater, resident theater company of the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts.
Composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown, hailed as "one of theater's brightest musical hopes" (New York Times), is joining forces with Roustabout Theater's Apprentice Program and Broadway singer Amy Ryder in a pair of concerts and a Master Class featuring his "extraordinary, jubilant theater music" (Chicago Tribune).
Bringing "one of Broadway's smartest and most sophisticated songwriters since Stephen Sondheim" (Philadelphia Inquirer) to Sonoma County continues Roustabout's reputation of collaborating with the world's top theater professionals.
Jason will perform songs from his hit shows, ("Parade", "Last Five Years", "13", "Songs for a New World") including several with Roustabout's specially selected Apprentice Program students and alumni, and Broadway singer Amy Ryder proving again that "the appeal of Jason Robert Brown's music is undeniable" (Variety). Jason will also offer a sneak peak at his highly anticipated new musical, "Honeymoon in Vegas" in a performance of "high-powered pop-jazz pianism" where "the electricity is contagious" (New York Times). Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown's only Northern California concert appearances happen May 22nd, 7:30pm and May 23rd, 3:00pm with Roustabout Theater at the Wells Fargo Center, Carston Cabaret. Jason will also work with Roustabout's students in an public Master Class on Friday, May 21st, 7:30pm also at the Carston Cabaret.
