The Second Annual More Bars in More Places Tour kicks off at The Rock It Room in San Francisco with a strong line up of thought-provoking Hip Hop artists of substance. Headlined by Hieroglyphics artists, Casual, Opio, Aplus and Knobody, alongside Germane, Sellassie, and DJ Lex promise to bring authentic hip hop in a commitment to quality music and a live show! The More Bars in More Places Tour kickoff is a not-to-be-missed event for all hip hop music fans.
For those of you who don't know, The Hiero Imperium Triple i League is Hiero's version of a Major League Baseball farm team. With the goal of providing a kick start for fresh talent, the guys at Hiero are bringing their A&R expertise to the table and scouting the best undiscovered talent in the Bay and beyond. Germane's saga began near Frankfurt, Germany where he spent his early years. His album("American Dreaming...The Pledge"), drops Germane's unique "Universal Super Raps" onto the hip-hop stage, representing a quantum transformation in this skilled Bay Area MC's journey. "The Pledge" laughs past the haters & celebrates hip-hops communal and poetically inspired roots.
San Francisco Revolutionary Poet and Activist Sellassie is an alternative in today's hip-hop. With a 2009 West Coast Hip Hop Award for "Knowledge Album of the Year". his debut, I'm Tryin'to Make a Livin' Not a Killin'" is an exploration of socio-economic inequities, political injustices and the realities of ghetto life. A fresh perspective and new sound, and touring his new record, Sins of Your Forefathers, Sellassie inspires with strong messages and dynamic beats, proof that there are young black artists that can make music that is creative, street and smart.
