Tunes My Idols Taught Me

Remember the golden days of television variety shows, their singing hosts, and the songs that they helped make famous. Not only will Daryl Taylor-Hazel perform classic, standard songs of the era that you will never forget, he will also bring you songs from the past that are sure to be welcomed back as good old friends.

Daryl is delighted to be appearing with Jason Wetzel at the piano. Jason is a NYC based music director, pianist, and arranger. He has been the music director or supervisor for the national tours of Young Frankenstein, The Drowsy Chaperone, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Other tour credits include Jersey Boys, Wicked, Hairspray, and The Producers. Regionally, Jason has spent seven seasons at Maine State Music Theatre, as well as productions at Northern Stage, Ogunquit Playhouse, Gateway Playhouse, and Ivoryton Playhouse. He has also worked for the Walt Disney World Company as a pianist and vocal coach. Jason is currently an assistant conductor at After Midnight at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
