Nono is almost 13 years old, and longs to be a good detective like his father, a famous police inspector, but his wild nature constantly gets him into trouble. Two days before his bar mitzvah, Nono is sent off to his uncle's house. En route, the imaginative boy seizes on one last chance to prove himself, and together with charming international thief Felix Glick, he travels to the French Rivera and enters a world of disguises and crazy pursuits. Along the way, he crosses paths with the famous singer Lola Ciperola (played by Isabella Rossellini!) and Zohara, a mysterious woman whose secrets will forever change Nono's life. A festival favorite worldwide, the film is based on the beloved novel by David Grossman. In Dutch, English and French, with English subtitles. For ages 9 and older. Plot contains guns, suggested violence, some mature content and death.
