A quarterly forum on how the internet has changed art, with a new topic for each edition - Chat Room aims to demystify the fundamental questions about art and its broader place in society through live presentations, recorded video, and audience interaction.
This edition is themed "Ownership and Property", and will explore the access to and control of both material and immaterial resources: Intellectual Property law, legal structures of art ownership, activism against art theft by corporations, and much more.
Featuring a collaborative release of La Norda Specialo, a free magazine of arts writing.
Chat Room is organized by Minh Nguyen, produced by Claire Buss, and receives support from The Office of Arts & Culture.
